Certification in Belarus. Mandatory certificate of conformity.
There are two types of the quality conformity confirmation in Belarus:
- a mandatory confirmation of conformity of a product or
- a declaratory confirmation of conformity of the product.
In this article we will discuss the first way of carrying out the certification, which is mandatory confirmation of conformity in the Republic of Belarus.
Mandatory confirmation of compliance (certificate of conformity) can be applicable if technical regulations of the Customs Union concern the product, or if the product is listed in the "List of goods, works, services and other facilities that are subject to mandatory confirmation of conformity in the Republic of Belarus" (hereinafter - "the list").
Terms for import of products subject to mandatory certification on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
The obligation to carry out the certification of conformity of the products, which are exported to Belarus must be included in the contract, concluded for the supply of goods into this country.
To import goods into the customs territory of the Republic of Belarus the customs declaration is required, along with a certificate of conformity, issued by accredited certification center in Belarus or the declaration of conformity, registered in the territory of the Republic of Belarus and approved by the manufacturer.
The sale of goods subject of the obligatory certification of conformity without the required documents (certificate of conformity or declaration of conformity) is prohibited in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
