Updated list of standards to EAEU Technical Regulations on safety of machinery and equipment
At the meeting of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, a number of issues related to technical regulations concerning machinery and equipment have been considered. The meeting took place on March 9, 2021.
Update necessary to meet the requirements of the technical regulation TR CU 010/2011
The agenda of the meeting included draft updated lists of international standards necessary to meet the requirements of the technical regulation TR CU 010/2011 "On the safety of machinery and equipment". Two provisions of the technical regulations were updated, containing:
- standards for equipment safety requirements
- standards for equipment testing methods, including rules for sampling for certification purposes or for submitting an appropriate declaration of compliance
Update of the technical regulations based on international standards
The updated lists of standards will mainly contain international standards. In the absence of international standards, the national standards of individual member states of the Eurasian Economic Union will apply. However, please note that national standards will only apply until the relevant international standards are listed. New lists of standards are adopted in place of those approved by the decision of the EAEU Council No. 55 of May 19, 2015.
Marking and identification of products
In addition to the main topic - the draft of updated lists of standards to the technical regulation TR CU 010/2011 - the meeting participants also planned changes to the list of general processes in the EAEU in the field of information support for goods labeling systems by means of identification, as well as issues related to trade in medical devices that have been extremely important in recent months.
