New standards for fish and fish products were passed in the Eurasian Economic Union.
The College of the Eurasian Economic Commission has adopted Decision № 106 on lists of standards to ensure the technical regulation of trade in fish and fish products. Decision was signed on 29 August 2017 and entered into force on 30 September 2017.
First list consist of 133 GOST standards and National Standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan (ST RK), including general and technical specifications, general requirements for fish and fish products, as well as packaging, marking, transportation and storage standards, recommendations for labeling. The voluntary application of these standards ensures compliance with requirements of the Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union “On Safety of Fish and Fish Products” (TR EAEU 040/2016).
Second list contain 182 GOST, ST PK, standards of the Republic of Belarus and other standards and methods necessary for products regulation and implementation TR EAEU “On Safety of Fish and Fish Products”. These standards describe rules and methods of analysis and measurements, including sampling rules, methods of identification of genetically modified organisms, acceptance rules, methods of quality assessment, methods of sanitary examination, etc.
