New editions of regulations on food products in Belarus
For the safety and convenience of consumers, in 2021 new editions of the technical regulations of the Customs Union TR CU 021/2011 "On food safety" and the national Belarusian standard STB 1007-96 "Dietary and fortified bakery products. General technical conditions " have been created.
All changes in the new edition of the regulations
Technical regulations TR CU 021/2011 entered into force in 2013, and technical regulations STB 1007-96 in 1997. Over the years of their validity, a number of changes and corrections have been made in each of them. In the first of them five, in the second as many as ten. As a result, working with documents has become inefficient. Subsequent updates would only aggravate this situation. To eliminate this phenomenon, all changes made so far will be reprinted and standardized in the new document.
Scope of the regulations TR CU 021/2011
The scope of the "Food Safety" Regulations covers a number of requirements and procedures, including:

safety requirements (including sanitary-epidemiological, hygienic and veterinary) rules of technical regulation

forms and procedures for the assessment (confirmation) of compliance of the subjects of the technical regulations with the requirements

rules of labeling, packaging materials, products and equipment used for the production of food products and articles in contact with food products
-
mandatory requirements for certain types of food products and related production (manufacturing), storage, transportation, sale and disposal processes.
Scope of the STB 1007-96 regulations
The second document is only valid on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. The standard applies to dietetic and fortified bread intended for sale. Importantly, it also covers frozen bread - i.e. bakery products intended for the so-called baking in stores. It is an increasingly common form of delivering bread to consumers. The standard precisely defines all requirements regarding the method of production, storage, freezing, baking, as well as the production and sales process.
