Members of the Customs Union (Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan) in 2012 might switch to a common sign of products' conformity assessment, said on Wednesday the head of Minpromtorg Minister Viktor Khristenko.

"On January 1, 2012, we expect the transition to the single sign-treatment products on the Customs Union market" - said Khristenko. According to him, it will be equivalent of the European mark "CE", RIA Novosti reports.

Mechanisms of the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan were launched on Jan. 1, 2010. Vladimir Putin told this November 10, 2009 on the meeting of the State Border Commission. Since the beginning of this year three countries will act as one mechanism to regulate foreign trade the prime minister said. As Vladimir Putin noted, such integration will require a high level of interaction between all members of the Customs Union.
