From July 2013 new Customs Union veterinary certificates will be in force in Russia.
Common forms of veterinary certificates of the Customs Union and the single list of goods subject to veterinary control will operate in Russia from July 2013.
According to the draft of the order of Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, to approve new rules for processing and issuing veterinary certificates, forms of veterinary certificates, which are made according to the rules, approved in 2006, will be valid until July 1, 2013.
Common forms of veterinary certificates and a single list of goods subject to veterinary control (supervision), were approved by the Commission of the Customs Union in June 2010.
According to the rules, the certificates will be used when moving under controled goods in Russia. Export veterinary certificates will be issued for the goods intended for external market. If the importing country will have special veterinary requirements, veterinary certificates will be issued accordingly.
Veterinary certificates must be issued in 5 hours from the time of checking the compliance of controlled goods.
