Update of the list of hazardous substances in electronic and electrical products subject to the declaration of conformity
On December 24, 2021, the decision of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission No. 180 of December 21, 2021 was officially published. It approved changes to the list of products for which customs declaration it is necessary to submit a conformity assessment document (or information about it) with the requirements of the technical regulations TR EAEU 037/2016 "On the restriction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products.”
Important information about updating the catalog
The article discusses the update of the list, which was approved by the decision of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission on October 16, 2018. The new version of the list will be effective from January 23, 2022. It will apply to legal relations established on or after January 1, 2022. The changes concern the update of the EAEU nomenclature of goods covered by the foreign trade codes of individual items of the list.
What kind of devices will be affected by the changes?
- ultrasonic cleaning machines and washers
- humidifiers, evaporators, dehumidifiers
- electric roller shutters for windows, doors and gates (with an electric motor)
- air purifiers and cooker hoods
- devices for killing insects
- audio and video equipment
- power supplies, chargers, voltage stabilizers for household appliances
- compressors for aquariums and ponds
- lighting for aquariums and ponds
- uninterruptible power supplies
- webcams
- landline and mobile phones
- light sources and lighting equipment, including equipment built into furniture: electric lamps (general purpose incandescent lamps, compact fluorescent lamps, LED)
- lighting
- home decorative lights, including Christmas tree lights
- circuit breakers and residual current devices
The changes did not affect the form of the mandatory compliance statement. In the case of devices listed in the list, it is still required to register a declaration of compliance with the technical regulations EAEU TR 037/2016.
