The temporary procedure for certification of serially supplied products during the pandemic has been extended
On January 21, 2022, on the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, information was published about the extension of temporary measures regarding product certification during the pandemic.
When was the provisional procedure adopted?
The revised, temporary certification procedure for mass-delivered products during the COVID-19 pandemic was approved by the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Union No. 127 of December 23, 2020. According to the adopted schedule, it was to apply only until January 10, 2022.
Changes made with the procedure
The introduced changes made it possible, first of all, to transfer the production assessment during the certification of a series of goods from stationary to remote form using videoconferencing with the obligatory indication of geolocation. For this purpose, it is necessary to meet a number of requirements. Producer needs to have no previous violations of the law, and the new certification must be carried out by the same certification body as the previous one, etc. The document describes the process of remote verification, as well as the method of testing samples for certification purposes.
Extension for another year
Due to the positive impact on the industry and the business environment, it was decided to extend these activities for another year. Despite the increasing successes in the fight against the pandemic and limiting its range, producers still face many restrictions and difficulties. Business has welcomed the changes and innovative interim measures that have been introduced and is firmly committed to maintaining them for the next year. The remote format in the certification process is positively assessed and does not deteriorate the quality of the process.
