The Eurasian Economic Commission has adopted transitional provisions of the technical regulation for means of fire safety and fire extinguishing.

On September 26, 2017, The College of the EAEU has adopted transitional provisions of the technical regulation of the EAEU “On the requirements for means of fire safety and fire extinguishing” (TR EAEU 043/2017) by Decision № 125.

The Decision applied for products that are subjects to TR EAEU 043/2017, that will enter into force on January 1st, 2020. It was established, that the documents on the assessment of compliance of such products with mandatory requirements are valid not later than July 1, 2021. From the date TR EAEU 043/2017 will enter into force, it will be forbidden to accept new documents on the assessment of compliance of such products by the rules of the previously established legislative acts.

Until July 1, 2021, products that have documents on the assessment of compliance with mandatory requirements issued before January 1, 2020, may be produced and sold. Such products should be labelled with a national conformity mark in accordance with the laws of the member state of the EAEU. Products that are not subjects to assessment of compliance prior to the date TR EAEU 043/2017 will enter into force can be produced and sold until January 1, 2021.

Also, The Commission decided to ask member states to prepare drafts of documents necessary for applying technical regulation “On the requirements for means of fire safety and fire extinguishing”.
