Decision on updating the list of standards to the regulations on light industry products

On December 10, 2021, the EAEU board adopted decision No. 168 "On changes to the list of international and regional standards, and in their absence, national standards containing the principles and methods of testing and measurement, including the rules for sampling necessary to apply and meet the requirements of the Technical Regulation TR CU 017/2011 "On the safety of light industry products" and the performance of conformity assessment of the subjects of technical regulations."

One key change

The document was approved on December 7, 2021. Its entry into force is scheduled for January 9, 2022. Only one change has been implemented - in column 3 "Designation and name of the standard", point 326, MR no. 29 FC / 2688-03 "Express method of assessing the toxicity of air samples for water-soluble components using bovine semen as a research tool" was added.

These guidelines will be used in place of the previous MR entry No. 29 FC / 830 to determine the mass concentration of toluene, benzene, styrene and other substances in aqueous extracts of polystyrene materials by gas chromatography. The structural element of the technical regulation related to the indicated method recommendations is Art. 4 (air toxicity index).

New provision can be used before the adoption of the standard

The application of the above-mentioned MR provision is allowed even before the relevant interstate standard is included in the list. It should be known that the list of international and interstate (or national - if there is none) standards, along with the rules for testing the conformity assessment of light industry products, was approved on December 22, 2020, and the document covers 419 items. Some of them contain guidelines, national standards of individual countries belonging to the EAEU and provisions on the limitation of the period of application by taking into account the relevant GOST standard.
