Debate on the proposed changes to the "List of juices and fat products subject to conformity assessment"
On June 25, 2021, the procedure of public debate on the draft decision of the Eurasian Economic Commision’s Management Board began, taking into account the proposed changes to the "List of juices and fat products subject to conformity assessment".
What changes were proposed?
The proposed changes, which are under discussion, relate to the following three documents:
- List of products for which the customs declaration requires the presentation of a document confirming compliance with the requirements of the technical regulations TR CU 023/2011 for fruit and vegetable juices (decision of the Board of the EAEU No. 76 of May 26, 2014)
- List of products for which the customs declaration requires the submission of an assessment document for compliance with the technical regulations TR CU 024/2011 for fat products (decision of the Board of the EAEU No. 39 of 06/03/2014)
- Decision to adopt the said List of fat and oil products.
Changes in the nomenclature for the juice industry
In the "List of juices" for the items "Fruit nectars", "Fruit drinks" and "Fruit and/or vegetable juice drinks" it is planned to change the foreign trade codes TN WED EAEU from 2202 99 190 0 to the code starting from 2202 99 180 0.
For the next three items - "Concentrated fruit drinks", "Citrus fruit cells, fruit and/or vegetable pulp" and "Concentrated natural fruit or vegetable flavors" - the codes from 2106 90 980 9 will be replaced by the codes starting from 2106 90 980 8.
Additional proposed changes
The authors of the draft changes provided for the possibility of submitting not only the compliance assessment document, but also information about this document. Moreover, in sec. 1 in the entries "vegetable oils" and "vegetable oil fractions" clarification of the code used in the commodity nomenclature was planned - instead of the codes from 1510 00 the codes starting from 1510 will be used.
The public discussion on the draft changes to the Lists is scheduled for 30 days. Its completion is scheduled for July 25 this year. The changes, if adopted, are scheduled to enter into force on January 1, 2022.
